Spanish Filmmaker Nicolás Alacalá and his team are making a great looking sci-fi movie, and a week out from their shoot in Latvia (yes, Latvia!!) one of their financial backers has pulled out, leaving them with a 40,000 Euro gap to fill in their budget. They have until the end of June to raise the cash.
I know we’ve been hitting you all up for support of The Tunnel and our team’s future, but the future of this kind of filmmaking and distribution relies on people liek us supporting people like The Cosmonaut team – chip in if you can by buying some merch or actually investing in the film’s profits for 100 Euro at thecosmonaut.org
Check out the video, hit up the website, tweet about it, blog about it – anything you can. These guys really deserve your support as well as ours.
It’s been a big 24 hours for all of us working on The Tunnel. Firstly with the poster going out yesterday on Twitchfilm.
Then we sailed past 5,000 frames today with our friend James, at Food Matters, bringing up the milestone.
It’s also been a day full of more great write-ups – like this one at Social Times. This one was sitting in my inbox when I woke up. A good friend had emailed us to tell us that one of his contacts in the U.S. had posted it on his facebook page wondering if he’d heard of “The Tunnel” – love that kind of feedback loop. Awesome!
I wonder what the next 24 hours hold?
