Also due to a couple of glitches in our last newsletter we wanted to make sure that if you haven’t already, that you check in at The Tunnel website and pick up your personalised frames:
Follow, or copy and paste the link and it will take you to the Frame Pick Up page where you will be able to download your frames in glorious 2K film resolution – complete with your NAME immortalised on each individual digital frame.
Again, we thank you for your unwavering support of The Tunnel! And we’re looking forward to continuing to bring you the film to your country any way we can!
It’s been a long way since we first started this thing, and thanks to YOU, the fans and supporters, we have finally been able to release The Tunnel for all to see. Downloads to date on the official Vodo tracker promoted by BitTorrent.com are sailing past the 120,000 mark with no signs of slowing, and we’re cruising past 40,000 frames, well on our way to finish paying for everyone’s hard work on the film.
Don’t forget that as well as downloading the movie, you can also grab a copy of The Tunnel as a 2-disc Hard Copy DVD loaded with over two hours of extras. Grab yours at www.thetunnelmovie.net, or if you’re in Australia or NZ you can also nab yourself a copy at JB HiFi, Sanity, Leading Edge, Network, and Blockbuster.
See you online!!
With Christmas looming, we figured this would be a great time to address that fact!
Now, as well as supporting the project by purchasing your own frames (thankyou very much!), you can also buy a frame or ten for a friend! By hitting the ‘Gift-A-Friend!’ button on the Buy Frames page, you can enter the name and email of someone you’d like to share the experience of buying frames with! Don’t worry, their names won’t be automatically published. Their name on the Tally will automatically default to ‘Anonymous’, and they will see a link in their gift email which will allow them to make their name visible if they choose to. There will also be a link in the email which will let them print a cool looking gift certificate – like the one above that I gifted my daughter.
So there’s your Christmas shopping (and next few birthday gifts) sorted!
It’s been a big 24 hours for all of us working on The Tunnel. Firstly with the poster going out yesterday on Twitchfilm.
Then we sailed past 5,000 frames today with our friend James, at Food Matters, bringing up the milestone.
It’s also been a day full of more great write-ups – like this one at Social Times. This one was sitting in my inbox when I woke up. A good friend had emailed us to tell us that one of his contacts in the U.S. had posted it on his facebook page wondering if he’d heard of “The Tunnel” – love that kind of feedback loop. Awesome!
I wonder what the next 24 hours hold?
www.thetunnelmovie.net has been live for just on 3 days now, and the level of support we have been receiving from this crazy idea has been astounding. People from around the world – including Australia, the USA, the UK, Sweden, Belgium, Latvia, Lithuania, Greece, Ireland, Norway, Canada, Finland, Mexico, Poland, Denmark and Malaysia – have bought their digital frames of our film to help us get it into production.
As it stands, we have sold 1764 frames out of our target of 135,000! In 3 days!To recognise all of those who bought frames in an appropriate manner, we’ve launched a Frame Tally with al the frame buyers’ names:
We’ve been so ecstatic with how quickly this has started globetrotting, that we’re trying to add people’s country of origin to the tally, so stay tuned – we can help you fly the flag for your nation
Once again, thanks so much for all of your support, keep helping us spread the word!
